Horseback to Nauyaca Waterfall

Fed by the sparkling waters of the Rio Barucito, Nauyaca Waterfalls are approximately eight meters wide, with a 45 meter high free fall and a 20 meter high tiered fall. They form a pool that is 1,000 meters square and 6 meters deep. Nauyaca Waterfall Horseback tour is 12 kilometers. At 8am, ride to the waterfall. After the water fun, mount up and return to the office (2pm). Snacks included.

Duration: Full Day

*Hikers: Adults in great shape can hike to Nauyaca Falls, 12 km hike (6 km each way). Not a formal tour, so go whenever you like. With a 4x4 you can get 2 km closer (walk only 4 km each way.) Unsecure Parking is free. $8 Park Admission.

 

2. Ojochal Horseback Waterfall

Not up for all day adventure? Check out the enchanting Ojochal Village Waterfall. Don Lalo and guides have extensive experience conducting Horseback Rides around our little village of Ojochal. Ride, swim and play. After riding back, enjoy a delicious lunch of typical Costa Rican Food at Rancho de Lalo.

Duration: Half Day

 

3. El Pavon Waterfall/Tilapia Restaurant

Just South of the hotel is a great place for lunch and swimming. El Pavon Waterfall is located across the road from a typical Costa Rican Tilapia Farm and Restaurant. Admission to the waterfall is free.
